James Scott of Dumfries Twp., Carpenter, to Elizabeth Scott of Dundas. 10 Feb. 1837, Ancaster Twp., by licence. Wit Adam Scott and Matthew Elliot.

DeathShe died in 1844.
BurialShe was buried at Section 1, Mountview Cemetery, Galt.
NoteIt is evident from the baptism records of Elizabeth's sons that the family belonged to First Church (Presbyterian) in Galt. Elizabeth was almost certainly buried in the church's cemetery at present day High Park, overlooking downtown Cambridge/Galt from the east side. There was a 'dig' in the mid 1880s and remains and gravestones were moved to Mountview and the High Park cemetery, known as the Strang Burial Ground, was (mostly) cleared out. Elizabeth's remains are almost certainly in section 1 at Mountview. Certainly, she is commemorated on the family stone in Mountview.
