| Note | Death reg. 020430-88 Beverly Twp., Wentworth County John Stalker died Sept 22, 1888. Age 69-10/12. Laborer. Born England. Presbyterian. Physician none. Informant Robert Stalker, carpenter, Beverly. A cause of death is shown on John's death registration, but is at least partially illegible. It does appear that he died of injuries caused by a fall from a wagon. The 1861 and 1871 censuses in Beverly show that the family identified as being members of the Church of England. By the time of the 1881 census, they are shown as being Presbyterian. John and Margaret are buried in Kirkwall Cemetery and this is essentially Presbyterian. |
