Residence Niagara Boulevard, Bridgeburg. Widowed. Born Norwich, Ontario, Dec. 5, 1849 (or 1850 - one is written on top of the other). Age 81 yrs., 11 mos., 26 dys.
Retired housekeeper. Residence at place of death 7 years. Parents Nicholas Halligan and Ann McDonough, both born Ireland. Informant Mrs. A. L. Current, Bridgeburg, daughter. Burial Galt, Ontario, Dec. 4th, 1931.

Bridgeburg was first established as International Bridge. The name of the post office was changed to Bridgeburg in 1895. On December 31st, 1931, Bridgeburg 'annexed the town of Fort Erie' and changed the post office name to Fort Erie. This per Floreen Carter's 1986 Ghost & Post Offices of Ontario. And, yes, Fort Erie existed from approximately 1801, so it's difficult to know just how to interpret this.
