Jane's place of birth is shown as Bryanstone (Bryanston) and probably correct, perhaps telling something of a family on the move. Bryanston is in London Township, Middlesex County. There was a post office there from 1863 to 1914.

The witnesses were from Plympton Township in Lambton County. Plympton borders Sarnia Township.

There was a post office at Point Edward from 1865. In 1962 is became a sub post office of Sarnia, though it is still an independent community.
