| Note | We take Irene's date of birth from a Manitoba Vital Statistics index website. Her birth was evidently not registered until some two years later, for the registration number is 1889-004420. The Thursday, July 18, 1935, edition of the Winnipeg Tribune carries on page 1 an obituary for Mrs. E. Cornell, Irene's mother. It states that Mrs. Cornell had three daughters surviving her and simply says that Frederick and Irene predeceased her. Death reg. 020735-33 Smiths Falls, Lanark Co.
