Catherine Milroy was a daugher of William Milroy and Mary Ann Harvie; Mary Ann was the daughter of Alexander Harvie Jr. and his second wife, Catherine Campbell. Alexander Harvie had a son John by his first wife Janet McArthur. John Harvie was the father of Christie J. Harvie of Plattsville, mentioned as a witness in the above marriage registration. She was a first cousin, or to be technical a half first cousin, of Catherine's. For Christie to be an attendant for Catherine, the family's must have been close. Unhappily, Christie died three years later in 1898.

John's grave marker at Mountview shows a death year of 1931. The death registration will be the more accurate.
