| Mother | Isabel Nichol (1766-1831) |

| Baptism | She was baptized on 17 March 1801 at Ettrick, Selkirk, Scotland. |
| Marriage | She married William Wells in 1821. A marriage record for William Wells and Elizabeth Burnet has yet to be found. The 1861 census, however, which shows William and Elizabeth in North Dumfries Township, has a column for showing the year of marriage. This was not always filled out by the enumerator, but it does show William and Elizabeth being married in the year 1821. |
| Death | She died on 10 June 1874 at North Dumfries Township, Waterloo Co., at age 73. |
| Burial | She was buried on 12 June 1874 at Section 2, Mountview Cemetery, Galt. |

Death reg. 011017-74 North Dumfries Township, Waterloo Co. Elizabeth Burnett Wells died June 10th, 1874. Farmer's wife. Born Scotland. Presbyterian. Physician and informant Dr. Lovett, Ayr, Ont. A funeral card for Elizabeth Burnet Wells is to be found for Elizabeth Burnet Wells. This dates her funeral to June 12th, 1874. It also states her age to be 73 years, 3 months and 25 days, which calculates to a date of birth being 16 February, 1801. Her residence is shown as being on the 9th concession of the township. See Funeral Cards of Waterloo County from 1851 to 1980, Norma Huber, Waterloo Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, 2001. I hope other researchers will allow some latitude here with such evidence as is available identifying Elizabeth Burnet Wells as the daughter of Andrew Burnet and Isabel Nichol. 1. Her death registration identifies her as Elizabeth 'Burnett' Wells. 2. The 1861 census in North Dumfries shows William Wells and his wife Elizabeth being enumerated immediately prior to the household of her brother James. Almost certainly, they lived on adjacent properties - possibly on the same. 3. William and Elizabeth Burnet Wells are buried in 25E-15E of section 2 in Mountview Cemetery. This is immediately behind 25W-15-1, which is the grave of James Burnet, Elizabeth's brother. Also, 25W-15-2, beside that of James, is the gravestone that commemorates their parents, Andrew Burnet and Isabel Nichol. |
