Edward Frowde Seagram
ID # 4582, (1842-1913)
Father | Octavius Augustus Seagram (1816-1848) |
Mother | Amelia Stiles (1813-1852) |
Birth | Edward Frowde Seagram was born in 1842 at Upper Canada. |
Death | He died on 8 March 1913 at Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario. |
Burial | He was buried at Section B, Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo, Ontario. |
Note | Looking over the census years it appears that Edward lived in Galt, from at least the 1871 census, until his death. The Dictionary of Canadian Biography tells that after their mother's death, the brothers Joseph and Edward were placed under the guardianship of Michael Boomer, the Anglican clergyman in Galt. The bio describes Joseph's education, but has nothing to say of Edward's. Probably, at least for a time, they coincided. Edward is commemorated on the family gravestone in Mount Hope Cemetery in Waterloo and we must believe that he is buried there. Death reg. 033367-13 Galt, Waterloo County Edward 'Frowe' Seagram, age 71, died March 8, 1913. Born Canada. Place of death Galt. Single. Physician Dr. J. S. Wardlaw. Informant G. J. Little (of Little's Funeral Home.) Edward's correct middle name was Frowde. |
