Witnesses James Dickie and John Harvie.

DeathShe died on 7 October 1870 at North Dumfries Twp., Waterloo Co., at age 40.
BurialShe was buried at Section 2, Mountview Cemetery, Galt.
NoteThe marriage record as it appears in First Church's book of marriages shows Jessie's place of residence as Puslinch at the time of her marriage. Puslinch is a township in Wellington County. While the word 'Puslinch' is faint on the microfilmed image of the page, it's still discernable. A search of the 1851 census shows a William Dickie in Puslinch. Son James Dickie is in the same household and a James Dickie was a witness at Jessie's marriage. Considering that William and Jessie named a son William Dickey Carrick, it's probable that William Dickie in Puslinch is her father. A Dickie family was represented in Dumfries in the area of the Dickie Settlement school. The Dickies of Puslinch may or may not be connected with this family.

Death reg. 010451-70 North Dumfries Twp., Waterloo Co.
Jessie Carrick, Oct. 7, 1870, 42 years, born Ayr, Scotland, died in childbed, one day, Dr. S. Richardson, informant William Carrick, North Dumfries. Presbyterian.

Jessie's birth year is calculated from her gravestone and is likely to be the more accurate.

With her childrens' birth registrations, Jessie's name appears as both Janet and Jessie about equally. She appears with her husband in the 1851 census of North Dumfries as Janet, or Jennet. The 1861 North Dumfries census is no help, for she is recorded as Mrs. W. Carrick. Pending further information, both names are used here. It should be said that only name Jessie appears on her gravestone.
