| Note | Birth reg. 036017-82 Arthur Twp., Wellington Co. 7 Aug 1882, Philip Barlow Harper, s/o Philip Henry Harper, school teacher, and Mary Jane Turner. The 1891 census in Peel Township in Wellington County makes it clear that there was, at the time, a Phillip B. Harper, age 8, and a William H. Harper, age 6. As Mary Jane Turner died the previous year. Philip's mother Catherine is with the household helping to care for the children. The year of Philip's death, 1916, is taken from a transcription of his grave, nbr. 187, row 21. He his buried with his mother, Mary J. Turner. The stone shows his name as Philip B. Harper. |
