DeathShe died in 1877 at Winnipeg, Manitoba.
NoteShe For the year and place of Jane Augusta's death, 1877 in Winnipeg, we fall back on the biographical sketch of Peter Marter as it appears on page 507 in the Medical Profession in Upper Canada, 1783-1850, written in 1894 by William Canniff and published in Toronto by William Briggs. She is probably buried in an Anglican cemetery, but the location of her burial has not been found.

The Grace Anglican church records give some evidence that Hatch family members may have been in Brantford for at least a time. For example, in 1845, when John Wellington Marter was baptised, two of the sponsors were Wellington Hatch and Emily Hatch. On the same day Jane 'Agatha' was baptised and a sponsor was a Thomas Hutch.

There was also an infant Joseph Hatch who appears in the church's burial records in 1865.
