Born Mountsberg, Ontario, March 11, 186? Thresher. Parents Page Mount, born England, and Elizabeth Doherty, born Saltfleet, Ont. Informant Mrs. W. Anderson, Freelton, daughter. Burial Carmel Cemetery, Freelton, on Oct. 29th, 1923. William's date of birth, based on his age as shown on his death registration, would in theory be shown as 11 March 1860. The 1901 census, however, dates his birth to 11 March, 1859, and is the more likely to be accurate. We show William's place of birth as East Flamborough Township. He shows this on his marriage registration. Probably, this was close to Mountsburg in East Flamborough, though a post office was not established at Mountsburg until 1863. |
