Janet McNulty
ID # 3782, (1901-)
Father | Hugh McNulty (1869-1948) |
Mother | Asenath Kynoch (1877-1945) |
Birth | Janet McNulty was born in 1901 at Alberta. |
Marriage | She married James Francis Cobb. |
Note | Janet's name in such early records as we have shows as Jeannette, sometimes with the initial V. In later years it is evident that she went by Janet and that name is used here. Alberta birth, marriage and death registrations are not readily available, but early census information consistently shows her place of birth as Alberta. This was probably in Lethbridge or the vicinity. Janet and James were in Coaldale, Alberta, near Lethbridge, at the time of the 1921 census. At some point they went to Prince Edward Island for they are recorded there on the voters' list at Crapaud, P.E.I. Also, it is evident that Janet's mother Asenath McNulty visited with them in 1940, for she gave her daughter's name, Mrs. James F. Cobb of Charlottetown, as a contact when she crossed the border at Calais, Maine, en route home. In later years, the Cobbs were in Vancouver where they are found on voters' lists and where James died in 1965. A death registration for Janet has not been found. |
