Parents Charles and Rachael Wilber. Witnesses Edwin Kitchen of South Dumfries and Lavinia Keefer of St. George. On October 20th, 1872 by C. H. Griffith, minister. The witness Lavinia Keefer is the daughter of Nelson Keefer and Mary Hodge Ballantyne and she appears with them at the time of the 1871 census in South Dumfries. Edwin Kitchen is almost certainly a cousin of the bride. The marriage took place in October of 1872, but David Baptie, the township clerk for South Dumfries, did not file the page with the marriage until 1st July, 1873. Hence the 1873 registration. |
