Ainsley Vanderlip, 27, bachelor, farmer, Methodist. Born and residing Ancaster. Parents George Vanderlip and Abigail Cornell. Jane Ann Page 20, spinster, Methodist. Born East Flamboro, residing Ancaster. Parents Charles Page and Arsinoe Coleman. Witnesses Maitland R. Page and Grace L. Muma, both of Ancaster. On 5 November, 1902, at Ancaster, by John Stewart. Grace Lillian Muma, witness in the above marriage, was Jane's first cousin, for her mother and Grace's mother, Victoria Coleman, were sisters. There is an added aspect to the cousinly relationship in that Alf Muma, was her mother's second cousin. Alf Muma and Victoria Coleman, when first married moved directly to Iowa were Grace was born. They returned not too long thereafter and the family remained in Canada. At the time of the 1901 census, Alf and Victoria, along with daughter Grace were resident in South Dumfries Township, Brant County. |
