Death reg. 001850-92 South Dumfries, Brant County
Mary Muma died Sept. 15, 1892. Farmer's daughter. Age 42, born South Dumfries. Methodist. Cause of death suicide. Physician and informant Dr. J. L. Addison, St. George.

Mary is shown in early census information as a Baptist. The 1891 census where she is with her father shows him as a Baptist but Mary as a Methodist. She is shown as a Methodist on her death registration. She is buried in St. George Baptist Cemetery (also known as Papple Cemetery). The transcription done by the Brant County branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is unclear as to her given name, but the transcription done for Interment.net by Murray Fair identifies her as Mary Muma.

Her dates of birth and death as shown are 12 Nov 1851 - 15 Sept 1892.

(These dates appear on both transcriptions.)

Looking over her age as shown in the 1871 and 1881 censuses, a birth year of 1851 may be slightly late. 1850 may be closer to correct. If this is the case, it will be an error in family information provided at the time the stone was made. If so, such a situation is hardly unique.
