| Note | Franklin Bowman is found with, presumably, his first wife Jane, in Windham Township, Norfolk County, in the 1871 census, which was begun 2nd April. He is shown as 26 and she as 25. A death registration for Jane or a place of burial has not been found. Franklin married Mary Matilda Willson in 1872. After her death in 1881, he married a 3rd time to Rachel Pettit on July 29th, 1891, in Windham Centre. They are buried together in Windham Centre Cemetery. The Norfolk County branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society notes that the land for this cemetery was donated by the Pettit family and there are a number of Pettit family members buried therein. There are no apparent children buried with them. |
