There can be no mistake that Kathleen is the daughter of George K. Bullock and Catherine Smith, though her middle name, Marie, differs from that on her birth registration - Phyllis. Her marriage registration, as with all those of her siblings, show her place of birth as Strabane, Ontario. Her brother George Bullock was a witness as well as her step sister Jessie Wrong. Both Kathleen and her brother George used middle names later in life than those appearing on their birth registrations. At a guess, if baptism certificates are found the later used names will likely be shown.

William Roy Conibear born 1 April, 1896. Parents William H. Conibear, engineer on dredger 'Ottawa', and Lizzie Hall. Informant Alvin Shufeldt, night watch on dredger 'Ottawa', Cornwall.

William served in the Canadian Army from 1914 to 1919. This he survived as well as an attack of influenza in 1918. If it was the 'Spanish Flu', it was often fatal. According to his attestation papers, he was a tall man. The attestation shows him as 6 feet, three inches. Another record adds an inch. He gives his place of birth as Cornwall, Ontario, but shows his next of kin as his father, William H. Conibear, who, during the war years, was resident in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

William's war record indicates health problems that included shortness of breath as well as surgical procedures.

We have no information as to whether William and Kathleen had children, though this is likely the case, for it is evident from articles in the Buffalo press, dating from the late 1920s and early 1930s, that William was active in Canadian scouting.
