The following is one of several marriages dated 1863 and entered into the Lambton County marriage register by C. W. Padfield, Cty. Reg., on 30 Jan 1864. Specifically, these marriages shown as solemnized by Robert McLelland, a minister of the Baptist Church in Arkona (Bosanquet Township). This is reconfirmed at the end of the listing on page 42.

Ann Seiter, 20, born Rainham (Township) residing Warwick, parents Nicholas and Catherine.
Witnesses David Seiter and Obed Muma of Warwick.

Rainham Township is located in Haldimand County on the shore of Lake Erie.

County marriage registrations from this era do not, typically, provide the location of the marriage. It isn't even always certain that they were performed in the same county. The best we may say here is that Rev. McClelland was the minister at the Baptist Church at Arkona in Bosanquet Township. He may well have traveled when performing marriages and it's entirely possible that the wedding was held at the bride's home.

The only other thing to be said here is that later records spell the bride's family name variously. What we may say is that the registrations, between the bride's name and that of one of the witnesses, shows the name as 'Seiter'.
