Familysearch has a database, Illinois Cook County Marriages 1871-1920 and this provides a brief transcription of marriage information for Alexander Crawford and Nettie Nixon. It reads:

Netta Nixon, 38, est birth year 1866
Marriage 10 Aug 1904, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

Beyond this, the Brantford library has an index for the Brantford Weekly Expositor (BWX) for the issue of August 18, 1904. A story for this marriage is indicated, but not checked.

Interestingly, this same issue of August 18 carries a story of the death of Netta's father Charles.

NoteAlexander and Netta appears on a passenger manifest dated 1905, Liverpool to Quebec City. This shows them as Canadian, but destined to what appears to be Beaver, Pennsylvania.

The Canadian 1921 census shows Nettie and Alex W. Crawford with Emily Nixon on Block F in St. George, South Dumfries. Alex is shown as a lecturer - University.
