| Note | Abram appears to have married again after Martha's death. According to an online transcription of the Jerseyville Cemetery his second wife was Isabella F. (see note below). His grave inscription mentions both wives. Isabella was born in 1857 and died in 1929. Abram's death information is taken from the Brantford Expositor, issue of December 19, 1912. Siblings are mentioned in the obituary, but not children. Abram is at Echo Place in Brantford Township at the time of the 1911 census with his wife Isobel. The writing is difficult, but appears to say that she was born in May of 1857. Abram married a second time on June 23, 1908, in Woodstock (marriage reg. 015311-08) to Bell Fraser Mcgee, age 51, spinster, born in Kintore. He is said to be living in Paris and an engineer. His parents are shown as William C. Vansickle and Annie Stenabaugh. Her parents are shown as William McGee and Jean Fraser. The witnesses were Ametia H. McGee of Woodstock and Thomas R. McGee of Kintore. Death reg. 008273-12, Brantford Twp., Brant Co. Abram Reid Vansickle,date of death December 9, 1912. Born April 28th, age about 68 at Jerseyville. Died at Echo Place. Father William Vansickle. Abram and both his wives are buried with him in his parents' plot in Jerseyville Cemetery. |
