Different county marriage index listings for the era have been searched, but this marriage does not appear to have been registered with a county registrar. |

| Note | We take our information for James Miller Lawrason's death and burial from the inscription on his gravestone in Troy Cemetery as transcribed by the Hamilton Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. It reads: 98. James M. Lawrason / died Apr. 10, 1878 / age 31 & 5 mos. / his dau. Winnie / died Apr 8, 1878 age 3 yrs. & 3 mos. Death reg. 016149-78 Beverly, Wentworth Co. James M. Lawrason died April 9, 1878. Age 31, farmer. Cause of death consumption. Informant Dr. Mainwaring of St. George. Registration made April 20, 1878. James' date of death is shown in this tree as April 10 per the inscription on his gravestone. Either the stone or the death registration may be correct. James and Winnifred's death registrations appear side by side on the registration sheet. Township clerk Wallace McDonald has written in underneath: Daughter and Father.
