Return of marriages solemnized by Thomas Robson, a minister of the Wesleyan Methodist Church
Lawrence Lawrason, 50, born Canada, residence Dumfries. Parents Miller and Elizabeth Lawrason.
Jane Rowns (possibly, but not very legible), 53, born Canada, residence East Oxford Township. Father John ...looks like Evlus, but not Evans.
The witnesses' names are clearly written, but the surname is unlikely.
Ryerson Hdliker and Sarah A. Hdliker, both of Norwichville.
On 27 July, 1859, in Oxford County.

The 1851 Canada West census for the Township of Norwich in Oxford County shows a Ryerson Hilliker and Sarah Ann Hilliker. Ryerson is shown as a Carpenter.

NoteSee marriage notes for Lawrence and Jane. Her surname at the time of her marriage is possibly Rowns, but, given the handwriting, this is questionable. She is almost certainly a widow as is Lawrence a widower. Her father's name appears to be something quite else. One transcription has it as Evans, but, again, given the handwriting this is a stretch. There is some possibility that Jane's surname at the time of her marriage to Lawrence was Rounds, but there are problems with this interpretation.
