The location of the wedding is not given, but since it is recorded as being in Brant County, it likely took place in South Dumfries. |
Death | She died on 11 October 1900 at Fergus, Wellington Co., Ontario. |
Burial | She was buried at Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus, Ontario. |
Note | Mary's will is of some assistance in sorting out the family. It appears that she and Thomas had no children and so she left her estate to Lawrason family members. She names her brother George and some nephews as well as her sisters. Unfortunately, where they were located is not stated either in the will or in the probate papers. Her will is found on microfilm at the Archives of Ontario GS1 reel 533 nbr. 4547, Wellington County Surrogate Court. Mary Lavina Lawrason Thomson. The cemetery transcription for Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus, shows the burial for Mary's husband, Thomas Wilson Thomson, and for her father, Lawrence P. Lawrason. There are four footstones and it seems likely that Mary is buried there, but there doesn't appear to be an inscription for her on the stone. |
