| Note | Thomas was born in Ontario, according to the 1901 census as enumerated in Vancouver. A birth registration for him has not been found. We may note that the 1901 census shows him as an 'apprentice telephone' - probably apprenticed to the telephone company. His death registration identifies him as an electrician. Schedule B. Deaths. Nbr. 12 - 453 Thomas N. Lawrason died October 24, 1905, in Vancouver. Age 20, electrician, born Ontario. Cause of death: Electric shock, killed instantly. The signature of the informant is illegible, but, apparently, he was the coroner. Also in very illegible handwriting it seems to indicate that an inquest was held. Also at the very bottom of the form, with no context and certainly upon no line of formal entry is the address: 620 Hemlicon St. This appears to be the family's same address when his father died. It's possible that the accident occurred in the home as opposed to being work related, but this is not certain. No newspaper account has been found. |
