Thomas reported his mother's death to the city clerk with her birth year one year off. According to the record of baptism, which was performed 7 January, 1840, she was born 17 October, 1839. Also, it's safe to say that she wasn't born in Ireland, but in Upper Canada. He did get her birth year correctly on the Miller family gravestone at Bullocks Corners.

Per a transcripton done by the Hamilton Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, the whole stone reads thus:

Per the 1871 census, Hannah was with her husband and first born son in Windham Township, Norfolk County. After her husband's death in January of the following year, she must have returned to live with her family in Flamborough West, for she gave birth to Thomas Douglas Lawrason there. In 1881, she is still with her Miller family, including her mother Arabella.

By the 1891 census, she is in Hamilton with son Thomas.

In 1901, she staying at the YWCA in Brantford and is shown as a housekeeper. Also at the Y at this time was Effie Moe. Effie was the daughter of Sophia Augusta Lawrason and John Wesley Moe. Effie was the niece of Miller Douglas Lawrason.

In 1911, Hannah is back in Hamilton. She is as well in 1921.
