Charles is with his family in 1881 at Galt and in 1891 at Silver Creek, Marquette, Manitoba. After that, his record is less clear. He may have married Isabella Bradford at Hamiota, Manitoba, on 1 July, 1905, though this may not be correct. We are on surer ground to say that he married Carrie Mitchell on 30 September, 1913. Supporting information for both marriages is to be found on the Manitoba Vital Statistics web site. It should be kept in mind that this is but an index. Charles appears in Winnipeg in the 1921 census with wife Carrie. He is also shown as a druggist in the application for probate for the will of his mother Mary and the application for letters of administration for his father Schuyler.
