George Bradford, 30, widower, iron worker, Ch. of Eng. Residence Hamilton. Parents David and Martha Bradford.
Zella Church, 27, spinster, Pres. Residence Hamilton. Parents George Church and Harriett Cumming.
Witnesses: Daisy Lees and Elizabeth Sycamore, apparently both of Hamilton.
On 30 June 1906 at Hamilton, by Rev. J. C. Sycamore.

According to the form, the marriage was registered in 1910, although so were marriages that were continguous on the form and other pages both prior to and following the page where the Bradford-Church marriage is recorded. Some are marriages performed by Rev. Sycamore, but not all. It's possible that the 1910 registration dates represent a recopying, but since they are all different 1910 dates, this theory really doesn't work. All we may safely say is that the registration dates the marriage of George and Zella to 1906. This is no help when it comes to an accurate year of birth for George. See notes for George's year of birth as it appears on the Hamilton OGS transcription of the stone in Hamilton Cemetery.

DeathHe died on 11 February 1932 at Hamilton General Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario, at age 61.
BurialHe was buried on 13 February 1932 at Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario.
NoteWhen George Bradford married Zella Church in 1906, he gave his age as 30 and his parents as David and Martha Bradford. His death registration places his birth in Belleville.

The 1871 census shows David and Elizabeth Bradford in Belleville with a number of children. A member of the household is Martha Wesley, age 22. A note in the remarks column indicates that she and her husband are separated. (Casting back to the 1861 census, it becomes obvious that Martha is a daughter of David and Elizabeth.) With Martha is George Wesley, age 11/12 (11 months) and his birth is placed in June. This will have been June of 1870. By the time of the 1881 census at Belleville, young George is still present, though by this time he is shown as George Bradford. Martha isn't present in the household.

When George Bradford married Zella Church in 1906, he gave his age as 30. This would place his birth to 1876, or thereabouts. His death registration gives his year of birth as 1878. The transcription for his stone in Hamilton Cemetery says he was born in 1872. While no birth registration has been found, that he was born in June of 1870 is a reasonable conclusion, based on the 1871 census.
