| Note | Page 163 of the 1949 Vrooman Family book gives Walter's middle name as Roselle. This is confirmed in The Dental Cosmos, Vol. XXIX, No. 4, Philadelphia, April, 1887, on page 272 where Walter is shown as Walter Roselle Vrooman of Canada, one of the commencement class of the Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery, which ceremony was held on February 26, 1887, in Philadelphia. Find-a-Grave provides us with a photo of Walter Vrooman's grave in Maple Grove Cemetery, Clyde, Wayne County, New York. It shows his year of death as 1936. An obituary for Walter Vrooman, with photo, appears in the Clyde Herald, Wednesday, August 12, 1936. It states that Walter suffered a heart attack while motoring through Maine. His marriage to Jessie L'Amoreaux is mentioned as is the death of his daughter Marjorie in France. |
