| Marriage | She married Gilbert Field, son of Gilbert Chrysler Field and Rebecca Eleanor Vrooman, in 1857. The 1861 census in Beverly Township dates the year of marriage for Gilbert and Louisa to 1857. This does provide us with difficulty as to the age of son Maitland based on later census years. The implication is that he should have been in the 1861 census with his parents, but, if he is indeed in the 1861 census his presence there is not readily apparent. |
