Ruth's sister Mary's marriage registration identifies their mother as Jane Elizabeth. |

Parents Admiral Nelson Vrooman, born Pennsylvania, U.S.A., and Melissa Coleman, born Canada. Informant Chas. Vrooman, 62 Barton St. West. Burial December 15, 1928, at Harrisburg. The above registration has some points of error. Admiral Nelson Vrooman was born in Canada. George's mother was Rachel Coleman and she was said to have been born in the U.S. That she was born in Pennsylvania is a possibility, for her sister Helen Coleman Misener is said to have been born in Pennsylvania. |
