| Note | Clara stated her ethnic origin as French in the 1901 census. Her father, Husted Moe, gave his origen as German in the 1881 census. Clara's death registration is faded and there are errors with the information, one element of which conflicts with her stone in Orillia Cemetery. Aspects of it are difficult to read, but, such as can be interpreted, what follows appears to be what was written: 031164-32 Orillia, Simcoe Co. Clara Jebb, 194 Matchedash Street, Orillia, widowed, born Ontario, born October 15, illeg. Age 62 yrs., 1 mo., 25 dys. Retired. At place of death 42 years. Name of father Charles E. Moe (wrong), maiden name of mother not known. (The name 'Christina Cook' was later written in and this is correct.) Name of informant Howard L. Jebb, 100 illeg. Street, son. Date and place of burial December 15, 1932, Orillia. Clara's birth is shown on her stone at Orillia Cemetery as October 15, 1868. The year on the registration is illegible, but it isn't 1868.1868 will be correct. |
