Note | Emma's year of birth is approximate and based on age 2 at the time of the 1851 census. This was taken in January of 1852 and the age given is supposed to be as of the next birthday. Mileage varied, but a birth year of 1850 will be close. Emma's age in 1861 is shown as 7. This will be incorrect. Emma's death registration shows her name as Emily Estella. This may be correct, but her name in most censuses is shown as Emma. Burial information provided by Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls, shows her name as Emily Estella, but her gravestone is inscribed Emma E. Kerr. Death reg. 019585-17 Niagara Twp., Lincoln County Emily Estella Kerr, age 66, died May 19, 1917. Cause of death is shown as 'shock from storm. Her place of birth and death is shown as Queenston. |
