Her birth year is likely 1865. Agnes is probably the daughter of Thomas Gibson, born Roxburgh, Scotland, and Eliza Kennedy, born Eramosa Township, Wellington County. This couple was married on 30 November, 1860, at Eramosa Township. Later, we are on safer ground, for the Gibson family is in Grey Township, Huron County, at the time of the 1881 census. Agnes is with them, age 16.
