| Note | The 1949 Vrooman Family book states that Aaron moved to Manitoba. The only information we have for Aaron's death is taken from an index on a Manitoba vital statistics database. The place of death must be a section, for it is shown as NE10 6 15. The date of death is given as 31 December 1938. Aaron's age is shown as 85 at time of death. This and some other census information seems to confirm Aaron's birth year as 1853. His age as shown in two censuses would place his birth in 1858. This latter year would appear to be incorrect. In 1891, Aaron and Agnes are in Argyle, Selkirk, Manitoba. In 1901, they appear to be in the Argyle sub-district, but in the Lisgar District. In the 1911 census, Argyle is not mentioned, but the township number remains the same, so it's likely the same place. The district, however, is now Souris. Mainly, we take the names of the children of Aaron and Agnes from the 1901 and 1911 censuses at Argyle in Manitoba. An Elsworth appears in the 1891 census, but he is probably the Thomas E. Vrooman that appears in later censuses. |
