Maud appears in the 1901 census at Hamilton with her parents. She is shown as their daughter and a widow and with the surname of Morgan. A marriage record for this marriage has not been found and she was not married long enough to appear in a census with her Morgan husband. By 1911, and still in Hamilton, Maud is also with her parents, but this time shown as Maud Brown, married. Her husband does not appear in the household. A marriage record has been found for her marriage to William G.H. Brown, 27, a bachelor, son of John Charles Brown and Catherine Helena Hamilton. Here, she is shown as Maud Elsie Pearson (her apparent married name of Morgan is not shown) and she is shown as 34. Her parents are shown as James Coleman Pearson and Mary Delina Fraser.
