| Note | He Death reg. 004773-70 Grey County. John Edward Barlow died September 19, 1870, age seven weeks. Birth place not given. Dyptheria, one week. Informant John E. Barlow, Normanby. This note applies to the death registration of sister Emily as well as to John. The two were reported together and appear on the same page, side by side. At this time, death registrations had been, at least in theory, reported since July of 1869. These were to be submitted to the township registrar who then passed the along to the county and the entries appear to be in books held at the county level. The township of death is not identified per se, but the deaths were reported by there father who resides in Normanby Township, so we must believe the deaths to have occurred in Normanby. |
