| Note | He William Joseph Barlow was born in 1865 and this was prior to civil birth registrations in Ontario. Somewhere, a church record may exist that shows William's baptism. It's evident from the 1861 census in Normanby Township that this was prior to William's birth. By the 1871 census, the family still in Normanby, William is shown as William Joseph Barlow, age 5. His death registration, however, shows his name as William John Barlow. Probably, this is an erorr. Death reg. 033535-34 Galt, North Dumfries, Waterloo Co. William John Barlow died Nov. 26, 1934. Place of death, and apparently residence, 81 Water St. S., Galt. Born Ontario. Age 68 yrs., 11 mos. Year of birth given as 1866, but no other date. He is shown as a gentleman (retired), but also as a carpenter. Parents John Barlow and Ann Newels, both born England. Informant Mrs. J. I. Hammond, Rich Ave., Galt, niece. Physician J. R. Beaven. Burial Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1934, at M. V. C. (Mountview Cemetery) Galt. |
