| Note | According to the Troy History printed in 1947, John Coleman Misener, named after his maternal grandfather, was known as Cole Misener. Cole Misener taught school, partenered with John Neff as a storekeeper, and was postmaster at Weir, in Ancaster Township. In the 1891 census taken at Beverly it says that he is a farmer, though the word is nearly illegible. Cole Misener's death registration in Manitoba is: 1922-034266 Some dates for the family of John Coleman Misener are taken from the 1901 census. In the 1871 census, Cole and Alice Misener are in Beverly. He is said to be a school teacher. In the 1891 census, Cole and Alice Misener are in Beverly. He is said to be a farmer. Their children are listed as Harry and May. |
