Welcome to my genealogy site. I have been working on my family lines off and on for over 30 years. I have elected to publish the information in various subsets to make it easier for people to find the information they are interested in without having to wade through a lot of extraneous data.
My Father's Families This line includes my father's Irish families: Doyle, Hamilton, Dunn and Jordan, Irish immigrants who settled in Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario. All the data here is the result of my research.
My Loyalist Families My maternal grandmother, Violet Faye (Jones) Broder, worked for many years on her Jones and Misener lines. Much of the Jones information she collected was received from Harley Misener in the early 1960s. I have updated some of this information and added sources and citations. I have also added my own research. Some of the ancestors and descendants of James Jones, a Loyalist, and his wife Hannah Goodale, through their son Andrew, are included here.
Some Descendants of James Broder James Broder of Co Sligo, Ireland, was my mother's great-great-grandfather. His grandson John immigrated to California in 1880 and married Alice Mary Graves, daughter of Rev. Roswell Graves and Eugenia (Jane) Clapp (see below).
Loyalists & Patriots: the Striker, Graves, and Clapp families documents some of the ancestors and descendants of Rev. Roswell Graves and Eugenia (Jane) Clapp. Jane's grandfather, Samson Striker, settled in Prince Edward County, Ontario, as a Loyalist, in 1784. Roswell was a descendant of Benjamin Graves who settled in Massachusetts in 1635.
Richard's Families documents my husband's (Richard Reid West) ancestors and some of their descendants.
The Jones family above primarily contains the descendants of James and Hannah (Goodale) Jones. The lines below are other descendants of James Jones & Christianah Folk. These lines have been generously contributed by people who are researching them. I intend to merge all the information one day, but generally only some of the earliest generations are in all three sites. Any photos or documents are included only in My Loyalist Families (above).
Coleman/Jones documents some descendants of Catherine Jones, sister of James Jones (above), and her husband William Coleman and some descendants of William's brother John Coleman and his wife Elizabeth Lawrason. Many related family lines are also included. All of the information in this sub-site was received from William & Catherine's 3rd great-grandson Robert Coleman. Some of William & Catherine's descendants will also be found in My Loyalist Families (see above) where photos and documents are included when available.
