Joseph Lee Hall was born on 31 March 1884 in Huntsville, Weber County, Utah. He was the son of Orson Hall and Eliza Ann Tracy. He immigrated to Raymond, Alberta, with his father in 1902. Shortly afterwards, they moved to Magrath before finally settling in Taber.1 He married Mary E Bartlett on 16 March 1915. He died on 30 June 1946 at age 62.
