David Moses Hall was born on 14 November 1881 in Huntsville, Weber County, Utah. He was the son of Orson Hall and Eliza Ann Tracy. He immigrated to Raymond, Alberta, with his father in 1902. Shortly afterwards, they moved to Magrath before finally settling in Taber.1 He married Elsie Fisher on 2 January 1902. He died on 26 January 1959 at age 77.
