Sarah Brereton

     Sarah Brereton was born in January 1808 in Harthill, Cheshire, England.1 She was the daughter of Richard Brereton and Elizabeth Haywood.1 She and her daughters Elizabeth and Sarah sailed from Liverpool, England, on 10 January 1850 on the ship Argo with a group of 402 Latter Day Saints led by Elder Jeter/Peter Clinton. They arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana on 11 Mar 1850. From there, they journeyed up the Mississippi River to St Louis Missouri. This is the same company that Richard Hall travelled with.2 She married Richard Hall, son of Joseph Hall and Harriet Barlow, on 9 October 1856.3,1 She died on 20 August 1897 in Manti, Sanpete County, Utah, at age 89.1 She was buried in Manti Cemetery, Manti, Sanpete County, Utah.1
