Eliza Brooks

Eliza Brooks was born on 26 September 1826 in Birmingham, England.1 On 24 Jun 1852, Eliza left Kanesville, Iowa (currently Council Bluffs), heading for Utah; she travelled with the James McGaw company which consisted of 239 individuals and 54 wagons.2 She married Richard Hall, son of Joseph Hall and Harriet Barlow, in August 1852 during their journey across the plains.3 She died of cholera on 15 September 1852 in Weber River, Utah Territory, at age 25, 5 days before her family reached Salt Lake City.2
