     William Doggett was born in 1557 in Boxford, Suffolk, England.1 He married Avis (Alice) Lappage, daughter of Thomas Lappage and Agnes Gael, on 1 June 1591 in Boxford.1 He died on 10 October 1610 in Boxford.1
