     Christianah Folk was born on 1 April 1746 in Churchlands, Ulster County, New York.1,2 She was the daughter of Johannes Folk and Anna Mary (Mareitje) Speikkerman.3 She married James Jones about 1764. She and James Jones were living near Kingston, New York when the revolution broke out. He was imprisoned for three years. During his imprisonment, she fled with her children to the Niagara area. She died in Thorold/Grantham, Niagara District, Upper Canada. She was buried in Hodgkinson Burial Ground, Grantham Twp, Lincoln County, Ontario.4
