     Ruth Abel was born in 1830 in Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 She was the daughter of David Abel and Mary Dineen.1 She married James Stinson Hunt on 15 December 1852.1 She died on 20 January 1893 in Owen Sound, Grey County, Ontario.1 She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.1
