Patrick Joseph Dwyer was known as Joe. He was born about 1890.1 He was the son of John Dwyer and Margaret O'Connor.1 He married Mary Marcella Carty, daughter of Henry Joseph Carty and Elizabeth Dunn, on 9 August 1916 in Elgin, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.1
Joe and Mary farmed just outside Elgin Ontario. That farm is still in the family and the Dwyers are recognized as one of the top Holstein breeders in Canada. Joe was the "salt of the earth".2
