George Hunt Mitchell was born on 3 July 1864.1 He was the son of Robert Mitchell and Sarah J Ashbury.2 He married Nettie Bell Coleman, daughter of Andrew Coleman and Sarah Isabel Templeton, on 5 September 1889 in George Clark Residence, Troy, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.2
He died in 1940.1 He was buried in Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St Catharines, Lincoln County, Ontario.1
