Arvilla Coleman was born on 2 March 1874 in Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.2 She was the daughter of George W Coleman and Harriet Church.1 She died on 27 June 1954 in Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario, at age 80.1 She was buried in Mountview Cemetery, Cambridge, Waterloo County, Ontario.1
Robert Coleman writes: "I remember Aunt Villa quite well. She had snow white hair and had a great sense of humour. She worked all her life as a tailor at one of the textile mills in Galt - Turnbulls, I believe. I can recall my dad telling of when he and Uncle Bert were young: Aunt Villa was visiting with grandmother and telling of a vacation she'd taken. She'd gone into great detail and was finally describing the return train trip to Galt. She said, 'And then we passed Ayr.' Dad and Uncle Bert burst into fits of laughter and grandmother sent them out of the living room. Aunt Villa liked a good laugh, but somehow I don't think she was setting them up."1
